Another night, another  abandoned railroad trestle.  On this evening the fog was thick as pea soup on the set of THE EXORCIST.  In order to have the rails register in the scene, I had to spritz them many times with a hand held flash unit.   On average it takes me a couple months to shoot off a roll (36 exposures) of 35mm film, and one month to shoot a roll of medium format film (10 exposures).   This slow burn resulted in one of the more peculiar color shifts.  To give credit where due, I "acquired" the title of this image from a collection of short stories written by the brilliant Harlan Ellison.  It certainly seems to apply to this image
