After walking the tracks for some time, I came upon this scene at first light. The sun was just beginning to rise above the Cascade Mountains to the left and out of frame; its rays causing the web under the milepost marker to glisten, which inspired the title. At one time this rail route connected the city of Renton with the town of Snohomish, then continued north to Lake Stevens and beyond. Needless to say, those days are long since gone. Just one more reason to curse being born too late.
